Gentle Readers, some lighter content now:
Do any of you watch much Youtube? I’ve searched around lately and found very little in the way of educational history content of any kind, save for John Green’s Crash Course History. It’s very good, and close to the format I’d want, but much broader than my intended quarry. There are also lectures, including David Blight’s great course, but those are lectures recorded and uploaded essentially incidental to their production. The Civil War Trust has shorter videos, but their Civil War in 4 series seems moribund or concluded.
Does anybody know of something like the latter, relatively short and explanation-oriented web video, but still active and with a focus on the late Antebellum?
